A dry day is a day when the liquor shops are closed and the sale of alcoholic drinks like beer, whiskey, rum, vodka, etc. is completely prohibited in the state.
The Delhi government has decided, that there will be three fixed dry days in 2022, which are Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti.
The order also says that apart from the above three dry days, the government can declare any other day of the year as a dry day occasionally. (Order copy below).

Dry days can have significant adverse effects on a person’s physical and mental health. Negative consequences for humans may include irritability, boredom, depression, etc.
