Reita Faria was the first Indian woman who won the miss world title in 1966. The second Indian woman to won the miss world title was Aishwarya Rai. She became Miss world in 1994. 1. Reita Faria:
Reita Faria (above photo) was the first Indian woman to won the miss world title. In fact, she was the first Asian woman to be crowned as miss world. She was from Bombay (now Mumbai). She won the miss world championship in 1966. After winning the title she did not focus on films/modeling rather she chose medical as her career choice. Reita is now settled in Dublin (Ireland) with her husband David Powell. He is an endocrinologist. They married in 1971.
2. Aishwarya Rai:
Aishwarya Rai was the second Indian woman to win the Miss World title in 1994. She is from Mangalore now settled in Mumbai with her husband Abhishek Bachan. After winning the miss world title Aishwarya received many offers in films and ads. She has acted in many hit films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Chokher Bali, Jodhaa Akbar, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
3. Diana Hayden:
Diana Hayden won the miss world title in 1997. Diana made her Bollywood debut in the 2003 film Tehzeeb. She was appeared in many television ads and had participated in the famous TV reality show Big Boss in 2008.
4. Yukta Mukhi:
Yukta Mukhi is from Bangalore. She won the miss world title in 1999. She made her Bollywood film debut in 2002 with the film Pyaasa starring with Aftab Shivdasani.
5. Priyanka Chopra:
Priyanka won the miss world title in 2002. Priyanka Chopra started acting in films after winning the miss world title. She made her debut in Bollywood with the film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in 2003. She has also acted in Hollywood films and TV shows.
6. Manushi Chhillar:
Manushi Chhillar is the 6th Indian woman to win the miss world pageant. She won this title in 2017. She is from Haryana and will make her Bollywood entry with the film Prithviraj. This film was scheduled to release on Diwali 2020 but postponed due to COVID 19 pandemic and now it is expected to be released on Diwali 2021. Manushi plays the role of Sanyogita (Princess of Kannauj) and Akshay Kumar plays the role of Prithviraj in this film.
